5PM DOORS OPEN (Mainly for competitors, but open to spectators)
6-8PM PRELIMS, TOP 16, TOP 8, TOP 5
8PM-MIDNIGHT (Official doors open to public): PARTY + PERFORMANCES/ KOTH/ FINAL BATTLES

**GMX BATTLE FORMAT RULES:
PRELIMS:
Dancers will do the usual solo showcase round up to :45 sec or 1 minute. (Soul & Funk music)
17th RANK CALL OUT BATTLE
After the Top 16 are chosen, the 17th rank dancer will have an opportunity to call out any of the Top 16 in a head to head battle for their spot. (1 round)
TOP 16
Head to head format, 2 rounds (1 round 80’s Funk, 1 round Disco)
TOP 8
Head to head format, 2 rounds (1 round Hip-Hop, 1 round House)
ELIMINATION ROUND
The 4 dancers who didn’t advance in the Top 8 have another chance to get back in the competition. 4 way battle, 1 round each. 1 winner advances and joins the Top 4 in the King of the Hill round. (DJs choice music)
KING OF THE HILL
King of the hill format for the 5 dancers. The top 2 with the most wins within 12 minutes advances to the final top 2. (Handpicked tracks of any genre chosen by GroovMekanex members. Played randomly, music genre changes after each round)
FINALS
Head to head battle. (2 rounds, judges choice music)
