WHAT: 1-week Waacking/Punking Intensive w/ Tiffany Bong

“Build a strong, self-sufficient, supportive Waacking/Punking community in the Bay Area rooted in individual and collective soulful expression.”

WHEN: Every night, Jan 3-8th.

WHERE: City Dance Studios

Who: YOU!! This intensive is for EVERYONE! (MEN!!…. we NEED you!!) Beginner dancers, veteran street/club dancers, technical dancers….. we all have something special to discover, express, and add to the mix! Let’s GROW TOGETHER!!

COST: Special Holiday Rate: $125 if you pre-reg before Jan 1st!
$150 After (Includes all workshop days and SOULyztik Community Jam on 1/8)
Drop in rate (for one workshop day): $35

AGENDA: In this workshop we will cover:
*Foundation (Drills, Variations, and Progressions)
*Freestyle (Exercises, Approach, and Concepts)
*Groove (Core Movement)
*Music (Receive a CD of music!)
*Video (Videotape your progress!)
*Choreography (Sequential choreography that will build into a performance piece)
*History & Culture (Past, Present, and Future)
*Group Discussion (Q&A, Goals, Reflection, Community Buildilng)

(Each day will build towards the SOULyztik Community Jam on 1/8)
1/3: MONDAY: 7-10pm (Intro Workshop)
1/4 Tuesday: 7-9:30pm
1/5 Wednesday: **Specialty Class: Hunks and Heels Workshop
1/6 Thursday: 6:30-9pm
1/7 Friday: 7-10pm

Open to Public ($15 Drop in rate)
Time: Jan 5th; 7:15-8:45pm
Description: Learn to develop your own CHARACTER and COSTUME in Waacking/Punking. Come dressed up in an outfit that expresses a feeling/vision/character within YOU!
**Heels highly suggested for ladies!!!!**
