POPPING & STRUTTING WORKSHOP feat. Money B (Playboyz Inc.)

Bryan Moreno (a.k.a. “Money B”) has been dancing as early as 1980, where he was first exposed to the art of Popping and Strutting in San Jose, California. He, along with the legendary “Playboy Rob” and Vic, formed the group “Playboyz Inc.” in 1981 and Money B has kept the legacy going ever since. He will lead the class in basic and advanced techniques of these art forms that include Strutting, Ticking, Tutting, Waving, Popping and much more!

BOOGALOO WORKSHOP feat. Chuck & Kerney (The Black Messengers)

In conjunction with the Oakland Boogaloo Conservatory

“The Black Messengers” are a legendary Boogaloo group out of Oakland, California. They formed in 1972 and have performed in countless stage and talent shows throughout the 70’s, including their most notable appearances on “The Gong Show” in 1977 and 1978, where they took first place.

The two members that will teach, Charles Powell and Kerney Mayers, were exposed to the art of Boogaloo as early as 1970 and will lead the class in the basic movements, styles and philosophies of this art form that influenced the dance many today know as “Popping” or “Dubstep dance”. Some that may be covered are “Posing Hard” or “Hitting”, Animation or “3D”, “Worming”, “Swooping” and many more!
